Ressy Canada Inc. ("Ressy", "we", "us", or "our") operates ressy.ca, a professional resume writing and career branding service based in Canada. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care and transparency.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact information: Name, email address, phone number when you submit a form, create an account, or contact us.
- Career information: Resume content, work history, job targets, and career goals provided during the intake process.
- Payment information: Billing details and payment method processed securely through Shopify Payments. We do not store card numbers.
- Communications: Emails, messages, or feedback you send to our team.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, clicks, and browsing behaviour via cookies and analytics tools.
- Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
- Cookies: We use session cookies, analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and functionality cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver resume writing and career branding services you've purchased.
- To communicate with you about your order, revisions, and delivery.
- To send you a free resume review and your 10% discount code when requested.
- To send service updates and promotional emails (you may unsubscribe at any time).
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To improve our website, services, and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers: Shopify (e-commerce), Google (analytics), Web3Forms (form submissions), and email tools — all bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Our writing team: Writers and strategists who work on your resume are bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Legal authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect Ressy's rights and users' safety.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to deliver your service and comply with legal obligations — typically up to 3 years after your last order. Resume files are stored in our cloud-based system (Canva) and you may request deletion at any time.
Your Rights (PIPEDA — Canada)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request corrections to inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential uses.
- Request deletion of your personal data.

Security
We use industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, secure payment processing through Shopify, and restricted access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable precautions to protect your data.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. LinkedIn, Google). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Agreement
By accessing ressy.ca or placing an order, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions with Ressy Canada Inc. ("Ressy"). If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Services
Ressy provides professional resume writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, cover letter writing, and related career branding services. All work is performed by certified HR professionals and recruitment specialists.
Delivery Timeline
- Standard delivery: 5–7 business days after receipt of payment and completed intake form.
- Rush delivery options are available as an add-on at checkout.
- Timelines begin upon receipt of your completed intake questionnaire — not payment alone.
Revisions
- Each package includes one full round of revisions based on your feedback after the first draft.
- Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your first draft.
- Additional revisions beyond the included round may be quoted separately.
Deliverables
Upon completion, you will receive an editable source file via Canva (cloud-based) and a PDF export. You have lifetime access to edit, store, and export your resume.
90-Day Interview Guarantee
Guarantee Conditions
- You must be actively applying to a minimum of 5 relevant positions per week.
- You must be applying to roles that match the career level and industry of your resume.
- Guarantee does not apply if you have not completed the intake questionnaire fully or accurately.
- Guarantee does not apply to rush orders where scope was significantly modified post-delivery.
- One rewrite per client per order. The rewrite is based on the original scope.
- Guarantee claim must be submitted within 90 days of delivery to support@ressy.ca.
Payment & Refunds
Payment
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
- Payment is due in full at checkout before work begins.
- We accept all major credit cards, processed securely via Shopify Payments.
Refund Policy
- Orders are non-refundable once work has commenced (i.e. after you submit your intake form).
- If you have paid but not yet submitted your intake form, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase.
- Disputes or concerns must be directed to support@ressy.ca before initiating any chargeback.
Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete career information in the intake questionnaire.
- Respond to draft requests and revision inquiries in a timely manner.
- Use the delivered resume for your own personal job search only.
- Do not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Ressy's written content.
Intellectual Property
Upon full payment and delivery, you own the resume content created for you. Ressy retains the right to use anonymized or redacted resume samples for portfolio and marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
Limitation of Liability
Ressy provides career writing services and does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview results, or salary increases. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will note the updated date at the top of this page.
