How do you actually apply for roles on my behalf?+
We create a shared email account used exclusively for your search and complete full applications from start to finish: your resume, in-platform profiles, and any supplementary questions. You receive access and can review all submissions at any time. For LinkedIn outreach, we use your existing account with your awareness and approval confirmed during onboarding.
Do you go beyond just submitting to job postings?+
Yes. Most candidates submit to the ATS and wait. We also reach out directly to hiring managers, recruiters, and relevant contacts at the companies we target. For many roles, this direct outreach is what generates the interview, not the formal application. We also pitch you proactively to executive search firms and headhunters who are actively recruiting in your sector.
Do I need an existing Ressy resume to get started?+
No. The Ressy Gold package (resume, LinkedIn, cover letter) is included in the monthly retainer. If you already hold a current Ressy resume from the past 6 months, we will apply a CA$250 credit toward your first month. If your documents are older or you are targeting a new direction, we rebuild from scratch as part of onboarding.
How long does it typically take to land a role?+
Most clients see interview activity within 4 to 6 weeks of their search going live. Full placement typically takes 2 to 4 months, depending on seniority, target industry, compensation range, and geographic flexibility. Senior and executive roles naturally take longer due to fewer openings and longer hiring cycles. We will be transparent with you upfront if your parameters suggest a longer timeline.
What is the 2-month minimum commitment about?+
Week 1 is onboarding and setup. Weeks 2 to 4 are early-stage outreach and initial responses. Real interview pipeline typically develops from week 4 onward. Two months is the realistic minimum to give the search a fair run. After the initial 2-month period, the engagement converts to month-to-month and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
Is this different from using a staffing or recruitment agency?+
Fundamentally different. A recruitment agency works for the employer. They fill specific roles for specific clients and are paid by the company that hires you. Their incentive is to fill the job, not to find you the best role. We work exclusively for you. We access the full market and our only goal is your next best career move, on your terms.
Can I review applications before they go out?+
Yes, on request. By default, we operate with pre-approved briefs and submit within agreed parameters to maintain search velocity. If you prefer a 24-hour approval window on any application before it goes out, flag this during onboarding. We accommodate this on a case-by-case basis, keeping in mind that delays can reduce response rates on time-sensitive postings.
